The Conference Committee met for an organizational meeting.  This was the first meeting of the Committee which entertained only invited testimony.  The meeting was opened by the Chair, Senator Nelson.  She stated these budgets are closer than people would have you believe.  Senator Schwertner will be heading up Article II for the Senate.  Chair Zerwas concurred with Chair Nelson’s comments.  He stated the citizens of Texas will be the big winners.  Representative Davis will head up Article II for the House.
