The Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke gathered for their quarterly meeting. They covered the following: Added to the recommendations under consideration by the Council; agreed on a process for electing a vice chair, but postponed the election; discussed maintaining the current funding for the Council activities and working with DSHS for additional funding; received an update from TWC on the number of customers who received TWC services who had 
experienced stroke or cardiovascular disease; a presentation on the study related to Rider 13 data-Comparison of Heart Failure and Cardiac Arrest events among STEMI and non-STEMI (NSTEMI) Patients, Texas; and other entities associated with the Council presented updates on their activities.
